Children's Community School is a progressive elementary school in Van Nuys, California, north of Los Angeles. For 25 years, CCS has stressed hands-on learning, a diverse environment, and involvement with the community around it. Guided by its founding director, the staff, and its board of directors, CCS looks forward to the future. Admissions applications are accepted and evaluated on a year-round basis.

We're getting ready for you to come back to school and we can't wait!Come visit the CCS teachers in their classrooms on Tuesday, September 2 in the afternoon.
The first day of school is Wednesday, September 3 -- the gates open at 8:30 a.m. and school starts at 8:45 a.m. (Bobcats: school starts at 9 a.m. in the classroom).
Carpool drop-off is available beginning on the first day of school as is Afterschool care (remember to get that Afterschool form from the Summer packet into the office).
We can't wait to see you and are looking forward to a great year!
