Our proudest accomplishment: graduating people who live truly accomplished lives

After 25 years, some of our biggest fans are our alumni. Some have gone on to well-known colleges and to the professions. But frankly, our proudest achievement is of a different sort: in graduating people who are confident in their ability to learn and work with other people. People who thrive in the myriad choices and responsibilities of a democracy. People who live accomplished lives in the best sense of that term.

What our graduates say about us

CCS is where I met some of my best friends, and it was one of my best school experiences ever. The environment created was loving, supportive and encouraging. No other school could have been more perfect.

—Halbe Dougherty-Wood (CCS '93), Student, Occidental College

I look back on my happy days at CCS and I wish I were back in Group 1 so I could start all over again. I have so much to thank CCS for: the people I know, the places I've been, the things I've learned, and the fond childhood memories I still treasure.

—Cara McGee (CCS '95), Student, Columbia University

My memories of CCS are only fond ones. Some of the best times of my life were spent there.

—Max Wanger (CCS '90), Freelance Filmaker

Make no mistake, whether it is in the form of teaching at the school, or sending my children there to get an education, I will be back soon.

—Aaron Amitin (CCS '88), Teacher, Harlem

Children's Community School has over 250 alumni.
