![]() Building the future block by blockFor over two decades, Children's Community School has pursued our mission in the same physical space in which the school was founded. The Board of Directors has recognized for some time that growing the School to 125 students will allow CCS to flourish both philosophically and economically. With about 100 students (a third of whom receive tuition assistance), 25% growth will allow the School to reach optimal size. For the physical site to match the excellence of our educational programs, the School community has engaged in a design process with architects Roschen Van Cleve and Pinnacle Contractors. Teachers, parents, administrators and even the children have met with the architects to create the “ideal campus” for CCS. There is more design work to do, but a good framework is in place. Retaining the physical attributes of the campus that are beloved and creating new spaces for learning has been a challenging and exhilarating process. And it has required our community to come together as never before. Some of the plans include:
